Congratulations to Sushi Chef Randy Noprapa!!
Chef Randy took top honors in the Sushimasters Regional Competition held in Washington, DC, in conjunction with the Cherry Blossom Festivities this past April. He then followed that up by representing the Mid-Atlantic Region in the National Sushi Masters Competition in September.
Chef Randy finished in 2nd place, narrowly close to displacing the defending champion. However, he learned new techniques and new ingredients, being exposed to so much sushi expertise during these competitions. We hope that Chef Randy will continue to learn and improve his skills, so that he can become the 2010 national Champion of the Sushi Masters.
Drop by PING and say hello to Chef Randy. Prepare to enjoy discovering the skills and creativity that has brought Chef Randy so much attention. Chef Randy is regularly at PING Tuesdays through Saturdays. However, the high level of execution does not drop off any on his days of rest, because Chef Reggie "Pepsi" Inthilith brings his 15-year sushi career and his "Best Sushi Chef of Alexandria" title to headline the act. The only thing you can do wrong with either expert chefs is NOT to dine on their top-notch work.
